Hello, I'm Bella!
Ottawa, Canada
Hi, I’m Isabella Boczkovski — an Ottawa‑based web designer, UI/UX enthusiast, and front‑end developer driven by both aesthetics and functionality. After graduating from Law School, I realized I needed a career that let me solve problems through design rather than statutes. That discovery led me to Interactive Media Design at Algonquin College, where I’ve learnt WordPress, Elementor, Figma, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Today, I apply that toolkit to real‑world projects — most recently, volunteering with Ottawa Catholic Young Professionals. I designed their website from the ground up, established a fresh color palette, and now help organize events that bring young professionals together in faith and fellowship. Whether I’m crafting an intuitive site architecture, prototyping a mobile app, or writing clear, engaging copy, my goal is always the same: to create human‑centered experiences that inspire connection.
I’m drawn to projects with purpose — brands and nonprofits that want more than a polished look, but a thoughtful story and measurable impact. My background in law sharpened my critical thinking and attention to detail, while my passion for visual communication drives me to iterate until every interaction feels seamless. Collaboration fuels my process, and I’m always eager to learn a new tool or technique to bring fresh ideas to life.
When I'm not designing...
I’m often in the kitchen, experimenting with new ingredient combos to invent fresh flavors — a delicious way to flex my creative muscles (and to learn from the occasional recipe flop). I’m also learning to sew, wrestling with patterns and fabrics to bring my ideas to life. You can also find me diving into a board game — whether it’s a strategic one or a fast party favorite. And whenever I can, I head outdoors — hiking summer trails or skating along the Rideau Canal in winter.
